Common Coupon Abbreviations

Some people who are new to this whole "super couponing" thing have asked about all the abbreviations used.  Usually in a post, if I use an abbreviation I spell it out the first time and then abbreviate after that.  I've been couponing for a while now, and reading though lots of other blogs and forums about this so I'm used to all the terms, but when I was new I was mostly confused by it all.  If you see a term you don't know, please leave a comment and I'll respond ASAP.  Chances are if you don't know it, someone else doesn't either and it'll give me a chance to clear up things for everyone.  Thanks!

KCM=Me, the "Kosher Coupon Mom" and pretty soon it'll be you, too!  At the end of some posts I list "KCM Lessons Learned" where I list a mistake that I made (that I won't make again and from which you can learn so you don't make it at all), or some coupon obstacle I overcame from going through it myself (such as doing multiple transactions in a row at one store).
Q=coupon
MQ=manufacturer's coupon
WQ or Wag's Q=Walgreen's coupon
TQ=Target coupon
in-ad Q=coupon printed in a store's weekly sales flyer.  Walgreen's has many every week, Pick n' Save occassionally has some.
IVC=Instant Value Coupon from the IVC booklet at Walgreen's.  These little booklets come out at the beginning of every month and have Walgreen's only coupons that are scanned at the register (no clipping).  These booklets are usually at the front of the store on the same rack as the weekly flyer or by the pharmacy.
MIR=Mail in Rebate
BOGO=Buy one get one
BxGx=Buy a certain quantity, get a certain quantity free or at a specified discount.  B2G1 means "buy two of a certain item, get 1 additional item free," B1G1 50% off means "buy one of a certain item, get an additional item for 50% off."
(xXX/XX/XX)=expiration date format I use after I tell the amount of a coupon. For instance (x12/12/09) means that particular coupon or offer expires December 12, 2009
$X/X=coupon amount off item quantity. $1/3 means $1 off 3 of that particular item.
X/$X=quantity of an item for a certain price. 2/$5 means 2 of a certain item for $5.
PnS=Pick n' Save
Wag's=Walgreen's
Cat=Catalina  (These are coupons that print separately along with your receipt at the check out).
RR=Register Rewards (these are Walgreen's catalinas you receive seperately from your receipt when you buy certain things that trigger a Register Reward.  Items and quantities that will trigger a RR are usually advertised in the weekly sales flyer and posted by the items in the store although sometimes there are happy "surprise" Register Rewards.)
OOP=Out of Pocket.  The total "out of my own pocket" cash spent after any coupons and discounts are applied.
ECB=Extra Care Buck from CVS Drug Stores (these are tied to your CVS Extra Care card and print on the bottom of your receipt when you purchase certain qualifying items)
AEP=Average everyday price at the stores I shop at most frequently

When I list all the items and prices in each transaction, I usuallly post not only the sale price it rang up as, but also the Average Everyday Price in my area, especially if it's something I used to not pay a lot of attention to or something I would get no matter what if we were out from wherever I was shopping.  I do this to show how it really pays to pay attention to several different stores' sales and to know what the regular price is at other stores.  See my "Stocking Up:  Starkist Tuna Pouches" post for an example of how knowing what the everyday prices are at different stores saved me a lot of money on something my family eats all the time.

I hope this mini glossary helps.  As I think of more or as I get questions about any common terms, I'll update this post.
